Ukraine has detained an informant who was sharing intelligence with Russia for a plot to assassinate President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The detained woman was gathering information about Zelenskyy’s whereabouts during his recent visit to the Mykolaiv region, with plans for an enemy airstrike. The Ukrainian security service (SBU) prevented the alleged attack and heightened security during the visit. Zelenskyy has been a target for previous assassination attempts. The woman was caught trying to pass intelligence to Russia and was identified as a former military shop saleswoman from Ochakiv. The situation remains unverified by independent sources, and the Kremlin has not responded publicly.
